Come in and visit us in the library. Supervised games and various activities are offered during both breaks along with the reading/borrowing of the books in our vast collection. P-3 students are allowed to borrow one item. Yrs 4-6 may have the loan of two providing they don't have any overdue items awaiting return.
The ability to read fluently is an important factor in success in most studies. As well, recreational reading can bring much joy to many children once the habit is established. Books may be borrowed at designated times during school, but may be exchanged as frequently as the children wish in their own time. Encourage your child to use the school library, to have a book out at any given time and to treat books with respect.
Try to find time to listen to your child read or talk about the book she/he is reading. Parents are welcome to borrow from our collection and take home a selection of books to assist your child to read at home. The loan period is usually for 7 days but you may return and exchange them at anytime before then.
Your co-operation in seeing that books are returned in good time would be greatly appreciated. Students are expected to use a library bag for their library books.
